Scenario

We’re going to analyse some data about the performance of a business – a large retail chain. We will play the role of an employee who is looking to find insights from the business data in order to make recommendations to our boss.

We need to look at the quarterly sales report and find out why some areas aren’t doing as well as others. We will use Tableau to make a number of visualisations about the data, so that we can present a story back to the manager. We will go through these steps together in the tutorial, but they are detailed below for you to return to should you wish.
